In the South, the expert Cork Supply team works hand in hand with forest owners and growers throughout Portugal and Spain’s sustainable montado region, implementing advanced forest management programs, and selecting only the finest quality corkwood from responsibly managed forests.
Just beyond the cork forests, in Montijo, is where our newly modernized corkwood preparation facility. Expanded and rebuilt in 2008 to improve the quality of our corkwood and the sustainability of our operations, our fully upgraded facility covers over 21,000 square meters. Among its many leading-edge features (designed to protect against contamination) is a sloped concrete corkwood seasoning park, a quality controlled warehouse for stocking pallets of prepared corkwood, and a high-efficiency stainless-steel corkwood boiler that enables more frequent water changes by utilizing innovative closed loop water-filtration and heat-exchange systems to reduce and conserve water, heat and energy use.

The renowned DS100 pavillion newly installed in 2017 that is where the trained sensory specialists and logistics team perform the unique DS100 service to premium natural corks;
The Innocork® Circuit, comprised of the PureCork and Innocork technologies, that is integrated in our production process and provides TCA taint-free natural corks;
The DS100 technology that provides natural corks with individual TCA guarantees;
Our state-of-the-art cork laboratory, outfitted with a full range of advanced sensory testing and SPME-GC/MS analysis instruments (150,000 analysis performed p/ year), and staffed by our expert technical team performing cutting-edge cork quality assurance and innovative cork research and development.
This unit is dedicated to the production of technical corks. It will have a production capacity of 600 million of stoppers per year. TALIS the bartop unit is located here and has capacity for 100 million p/year.
These units are dedicated to the branding, surface treatment, packaging and quality control of the stoppers that are sent to wineries. These units are located regionally in the different wine producing regions of the world (Australia, Argentina, China, Portugal, South Africa and USA) so as to be close to our customers.
